Scholarship Description:
The primary research interests of the laboratory are the interactions between dietary bioactives/phytochemicals and gut microbiota and the effects on inflammatory diseases, such as inflammatory bowel disease and inflammation-associated tumorigenesis. The laboratory is currently funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for a number of research projects.

- Molecular/Biochemical Nutrition, Molecular Medicine, Molecular Pharmaceutics, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
Eligibility criteria:
- Solid experience in wet-lab and mouse studies.
- Prior research experience in gut microbiome, multi-omics (e.g., metagenomics, metabolomics), inflammatory diseases/cancerare highly favorable.
- Good verbal and written English.
