Degree: B.S, M.S., Ph.D
Nationality: International Students
Location: USA
Application deadlines: Open until filled
Scholarship Description:
The group’s recent research interests include software development for bioinformatics methods, data mining for diseaseomics and precision translational medicine. The group has a number of research projects funded by the US federal government, foundations, the Canadian government, and individual and institutional donations, making the group very well funded. The group allows PhD students and post-docs to choose their own topics according to their interests and strengths, with individual leadership and collaboration as the main focus. The university and the group support individual project applications and green card applications (with a high success rate in Florida) for outstanding group members. The current group of PhD students and postdocs have been in the group for about three or four years and have published more than five articles per person (up to nine), including one in Genome Research, Bioinformatics and other journals. The group provides excellent training and unlimited development space for outstanding group members, and all core group members have been awarded faculty, PI, and project director positions.
The group has recently joined Florida Atlantic University (FAU), one of the public university systems in Florida. Due to the development of the project, we are looking for full-award PhD students and postdocs in bioinformatics and computational genomics. The university and the group will support outstanding PhD students and postdocs by providing them with a first-class research environment and a personalised training programme to promote the development and excellence of both the individual and the group. Members of the group are invited to give talks at conferences, visit collaborators (Stanford, Cornell, etc.), participate in scientific writing, training on grant applications, etc., interact and learn from American undergraduates, and participate in lectures, among other developments. The new laboratory is well-equipped and equipped. The FAU has provided the group with powerful computing resources such as HPC servers and storage. For more information on the group, please see the website: https://dllab.org. We welcome ambitious students to join us!
