Scholarship Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to work on the use of data science approaches to analyze electronic health record (EHR) data, in collaboration with a group of researchers and clinicians. The research outcome can help improve our understanding of the genetic basis of human diseases and facilitate predictive analytics and treatment decision making. Suitable candidates should have experience in data science, including database management, statistical modeling and software development.Domain knowledge in biomedical research or biomedical informatics is preferred but not required.

Eligibility criteria:
- • MS or PhD in computer science/engineering, data science, or bioinformatics, with experience working with high dimensional and noisy data sets that are typical in biomedical domain
- • familiar with Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing skills, data management and knowledge engineering
- • fluency in SQL query and Python programming languages, cloud computing and other data analysis or visualization tools.
- • Familiarity with Epic clarity database is a plus but not required
