Scholarship Description:
Professor Wei Dong from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Computer Science Department is recruiting research interns. He is an Nanyang Assistant Professor, a highly selective position comparable to top global standards. Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Carnegie Mellon University and earned his PhD from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
His research in Differential Privacy for Data Systems is at the forefront of the field. He has published multiple papers as the first author at leading conferences in computer security (S&P, CCS), databases (SIGMOD, VLDB, PODS, KDD), and artificial intelligence (NeurIPS), including a SIGMOD Best Paper award.
Additionally, Professor Dong collaborates closely with distinguished scholars such as ACM/IEEE/AAAS Fellow Prof. XiaoFeng Wang from Indiana University, CMU ACM/Packard/Sloan Fellow Prof. Elaine Shi, and NTU Professors Yang Liu and Tianwei Zhang on LLM/VLMAgent and System Security topics.

Eligibility criteria:
- Currently enrolled in a 985 university or a top 100 global institution, with strong English reading and writing skills.
- Major in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Electronics, Information, or Artificial Intelligence.
- Passion for research, self-motivated, good communication skills, able to complete tasks on time, and a team player.
- Proficient in programming; preference for those with conference publications or awards in informatics competitions.
- Strong resilience and ability to handle setbacks.
