Scholarship Description:
Dr Sadamori Kojaku is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Systems Science and Industrial Engineering at SUNY Binghamton. His research focuses on creating a unified computational macroscope to study complex systems by exploiting powerful computational intelligence, with applications to science of science and computational social science.
He was a former Postdoctoral Fellow at Indiana University, where he worked with Dr Yong-Yeol Ahn on representation learning for the science of science. He was a Research Associate at the University of Bristol, working with Dr Naoki Masuda on network science. He received his Ph.D. in computer science from Hokkaido University in 2015 (supervisor: Dr Mineichi Kudo). More information is available at skojaku.github.io.

Eligibility criteria:
We encourage applicants with a strong background in machine learning, engineering, mathematics, or related fields to apply. Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Julia, or R) is a prerequisite, and experience in network analysis and text/graph embeddings are highly valued.
