Scholarship Description:
Our studies focus on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiac development and disease. We utilize a multi-disciplinary approach, combining molecular, cellular, developmental, and physiological techniques to uncover novel therapeutic targets and approaches for the prevention and treatment of cardiac diseases.
The UCSD Cardiovascular Medicine Division is renowned for the success in training young investigators, as exemplified by the excellent training records of the faculty members. UCSD is an equal opportunity employer.

Eligibility criteria:
Applications are invited from candidates who have a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics and/or cardiovascular biology. Quantified candidates must be self-motivated and have a strong commitment to basic research.
