Scholarship Description:

David D. Tran and his group recently relocated to the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC) as Professor of Neurosurgery/Neurology, Director of the Division of Neuro-Oncology and Co-Director of the USC Brain Tumor Center. Research in the Tran lab focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of how cancer develops, progresses and resists treatment through an integrated approach from clinical observations to systems and computational biology to animal models and quantitative molecular validation, with the ultimate goal of returning to human patients to develop new, safe and effective anti-cancer therapies. The lab is well funded and plans to recruit 3-4 post-docs or fellows.

Located in the City of Angels, Los Angeles, USC is a world-renowned private research university. The latest U.S. News National University Rankings ranked it 25th overall, 28th for the Keck School of Medicine and 18th for the Norris Cancer Centre.

The position is for 3 years, with the possibility of extension at the end of the term and support for immigration applications. We offer a competitive salary and benefits. Compensation will be based on NIH guidelines with cost of living adjustments based on experience.
