Scholarship Description:

The Biomechanics Lab is involved in the development of multi-field coupled numerical models and animal experiments, particularly in the areas of cardiovascular disease research, traumatic brain injury, interventional medical device development, and Langendorff animal experiments, Michigan State University, University of California at San Diego, University of California at San Francisco, Imperial College, Cardiovascular Dr Fan has been involved in a number of collaborative research projects with the American Heart Association, National Institute of Health and other national programmes in the United States. His research has been published in the American Journal of Physiology and other SCI journals on physiology and biomechanics.

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is a private medical school and research institution located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The school was founded in 1893 and is the largest research centre in eastern Wisconsin. Formerly affiliated with Marquette University, it has been an independent institution since 1967 and has two other campuses, one in Green Bay and one in Wausau. MCW is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission’s North Central Association of Colleges (HLC) and by the Liaison Council on Medical Education (LCME). It is the only private medical school in Wisconsin and one of only two medical schools in Wisconsin, the other being the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison. The Medical College of Wisconsin has more than 1,200 students enrolled in educational programmes. This includes approximately 817 medical students and 400 graduate students. An additional 670 residents and 180 fellows are affiliated with the university’s hospitals. Approximately 160 scientists conduct postdoctoral research at MCW.
