Scholarship Description:
Winson Ho MD is Corey Raffel MD. PHD. Endowed Associate Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery and Brain Tumor Center at UCSF. UCSF is No. 1 in the nation for neurology and neurosurgery, according to the annual ranking by U.S. News & World Report. UCSF Brain Tumor Center is one of the largest and most comprehensive programs for brain tumor treatment in the United States.
Dr. Ho is a neurosurgeon-scientist, and his lab is focused on developing novel immunotherapy for brain cancer. Dr. Ho received B.A. and M.D. degree from Yale University, followed by neurosurgical residency training at University of Virginia and then spent 3 years research at NIH. He received prestigious Neurosurgeon Research Career Development Program (NRCDP) Award in 2019.
Available Subjects:
- Perform experiments of animal models, in vitro cell based molecular/biochemical assays, immunofluorescence staining independently; Analyze, interpret, and present data in group meetings or local/national conferences.
Eligibility criteria:
- PHD degree with previous bench work experience. Preferrable to have immunology or cancer biology background. Proven record of publications. Highly self-motivated and excellent communication skills.
