Scholarship Description:
The Nanobiosensing, Nanomanufacturing, Nanomaterials (3N) Lab at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) invites applications for multiple funded postdoctoral and Ph.D. positions.
Located in the city of Rochester, the Kate Gleason College of Engineering at RIT has a distinctive and diverse culture and has been recognized as one of the best engineering schools in the 2021 U.S. News and World Report Education rankings. We house state-of-the-art research facilities and offer great opportunities to collaborate with colleagues in the University of Rochester Medical Center, University of California, New York University, Rutgers University, Binghamton University, and Stevens Institute of Technology.
Currently, the 3N lab has 5 Ph.D. students, 3 M.S. students, and several undergraduate students. Since the establishment in 2018, the lab has independently published over 10 journal articles in ACS Sensors (complementary cover), ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces (complementary cover), ACS Omega (complementary cover), Biosensors and Bioelectronics, Diagnostics, Electrophoresis (front cover), Optics Express, and Nanotechnology. The research outcomes have been presented at several international conferences such as EIPBN and SPIE.
Available Subjects:
Micro-and nanofabrication, bioengineering, chemistry, and nano-optics.
Eligibility criteria:
- We seek motivated and dynamic colleagues to join our culturally diverse research team, more broadly, at RIT.
- Candidates with a research and education background in micro-and nanofabrication, bioengineering, chemistry, and nano-optics are encouraged to apply.
- We are particularly interested in candidates who have research experience in virology, implantable medical devices, and vertebrate animal models such as mice.
