Scholarship Description:
We offer fixed term contract for the duration of up to 3 years (initial appointment will be for a period of 1 year and after satisfactory evaluation it can be extended for a total duration of 3 years).
You will work in an exciting international environment with researchers from over 100 nationalities and will have the opportunity to participate in the development of the lab agenda and boost your career development and training (https://opra.kaust.edu.sa). Research staff receive competitive salaries, and no income tax is currently paid to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Eligibility criteria:
We welcome candidates with a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical or/and Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Informatics, or a closely related field, with a strong background in the theory and practice of one or more of Cybersecurity, CPS and IoT Resiliency, Industrial Control and Smart Grid Systems, Digital Real-time Simulation, Networks and/or Real-Time and Embedded Systems.
The candidates are expected to have: a strong motivation to identify and solve scientific problems in an interdisciplinary collaborative research environment, excellent problem-solving skills, good interpersonal skills, high-level written and oral communication skills with the ability to represent the research team at national and international conferences, and a record of publications in quality, peer reviewed journals and conferences. We consider as an added advantage proven track record in research project definition and management, team leading, research collaboration with industrial partners, experience in supporting PhD candidates in their research.
