The laboratory of Dr Yanyan Li at the University of Maine invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the field of molecular/biochemical nutrition.
The laboratory’s main research interests are the interaction between dietary bioactives/phytochemicals and gut microbiota, and the effects of inflammatory diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease and inflammation-associated cancers. disease and inflammation-associated tumorigenesis. The laboratory is currently funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for a number of research projects.

Eligibility criteria:
- Solid experience in wet-lab and mouse studies.
- Prior research experience in gut microbiome, multi-omics (e.g., metagenomics, metabolomics), inflammatory diseases/cancer are highly favorable.
- Good verbal and written English.
