Scholarship Description:
Dr. Kai Li’s laboratory invites passionate postdoctoral researchers to join our team. We study immune responses in contexts such as microbial infections, tissue damage, autoimmune diseases, and tumors. Our multidisciplinary approach integrates immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and advanced bioengineering techniques to explore immune recognition mechanisms and their roles in disease pathology.
We welcome applicants from diverse research backgrounds, including but not limited to biochemistry, immunology, microbiology, and computational biology.
Dr. Kai Li will join UConn Health in November 2024 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Immunology. His lab employs innovative technologies (e.g., PhagoPL) to investigate innate immune recognition mechanisms, focusing on cell death, antigen presentation, and proteomics. The lab collaborates closely with experts across disciplines and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and ample funding.
Dr. Li fosters a creative and supportive research environment to advance postdoctoral scholars’ scientific and career development. Ideal candidates should be driven by scientific curiosity, embrace challenges, and thrive in the dynamic nature of research.
