Scholarship Description:
bIomedical Knowledge Empowered Ai lab (IKEA lab) in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics Research at Mayo Clinic Rochester is recruiting multiple positions of postdoctoral fellows/Intern/Research Assistant/Visiting scholars. The position will be supervised by Dr. Zong who is specialized in 1) computational drug repurposing, and 2) deep learning-based predictive models. The role will utilize the state-of-the-art of deep learning and machine learning models to build predictive models for diverse applications in the area of biomedical informatics. Large-scaled biomedical datasets (e.g., knowledge graphs) and patient electronic health records (EHRs) are used in the study. In addition, the role will have the opportunities to work closely with top-notch physicians from Mayo Clinic, which is ranked No. 1 hospital for six years in the United States.
Available Subjects:
EE, CS, Biomedical Informatics, Biostats, or related fields with solid programming skills.
Eligibility criteria:
Experiences in one or more of the following areas are desirable: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Semantic Web/knowledge graph, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Biostats. The candidate should demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment, to coordinate and supervise part of the research project.
