Scholarship Description:
A full-time postdoctoral position is available on an annual 12- month appointment in the Yang lab at the University of Washington. The lab focuses on generating and utilizing pluripotent stem cell and primate models to dissect the cellular and molecular mechanisms of reproductive and obstetric complications, including infertility, miscarriage, preeclampsia, etc. The candidate will carry out the research work under the supervision of Assistant Professor Min Yang within the Center for Reproductive Sciences at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine. The anticipated start date is August 1st, 2023.

Eligibility criteria:
- Candidates with a degree in Reproductive, Developmental, Stem cell or Molecular Biology are strongly encouraged to apply. The ability to work independently and as part of a research team is required. Experience with animal work is desired but not required.
- Cell culture work – organoid generation and 2D/3D cell culture
- Microscopy – immunofluorescence and confocal imaging
- Molecular bench work — basic molecular skills are required
- (molecular cloning, genome editing, etc.)
- Data analysis – basic skills in bioinformatics or genomic data analysis are required
- Animal handling — only needed if projects involve animal work
- Contributing to laboratory organization and maintenance
- Presentations of data in lab meetings and external meetings
- Preparation of written scholarly reports/publication
