Scholarship: Fully Funded
Degree: BS, MS, PHD
Nationality: International Students
Location: USA
Application deadlines Until the positions are filled

Scholarship Description:

The lab focuses on the conformational transitions, dynamics, signaling transduction of (patho)physiological and pathogenic membrane proteins such as G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), with an aim to facilitate drug discovery. GPCRs encompass the largest membrane protein family with more than 800 members and are targeted by more than one third of FDA approved medications. Currently, the lab is actively collaborating with leading researchers in the field from top-tier institutes like Stanford, Caltech, and UCSF, including Nobel Laureate and several members of National Academy of Sciences. These collaborations have led some substantial progress. It is a perfect timing for you to join us.

 Available Subjects:

  1. immunology or cancer biology

Eligibility criteria:

We are particularly welcoming the candidates who have the expertise in large-scale (membrane) protein preparations using yeast, insect, or mammalian cell expression systems, cell-based signaling measurements such as BRET for drug screening, CRISPR/Cas9, UAA genetic incorporation, or Bio-NMR, in addition to basic molecular biological and biochemical skills.

Application Procedure:

Please send your CV with three reference contacts to Dr. Libin Ye at libinye@usf.edu if you are interested in the positions.
