Scholarship Description:
Dr. Yang Liu’s Lab in Yale School of Medicine, Department of Pathology is seeking one or two motivated postdoctoral associates to work on spatial omics technique development and their applications to study tissue heterogeneity of pathological disease, primarily cancer.
The Lab mainly focused on the development of spatial-based omics techniques (Transcriptome, proteome, epigenome, etc..) and the application of techniques to study tumor microenvironments, neurological disease, and microbiome.
The successful candidate will be working on cutting-edge biotechnique development (see our techniques: DBiT-seq, Cell, 2020; Spatial-CITE-seq, Nature Biotechnology, 2023; DBiT-seq FFPE, BioRxiv, 2021;) and collaborations with pathological groups, immunologists, and oncologists to understand diseases at different omics levels. The postdoc trainees will receive hands-on training, a competitive stipend, and great research and career development support.
