Scholarship Description:
The lab of Professor Wenliang Li at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) is currently hiring postdoctoral researchers. The lab focuses on studying novel molecular mechanisms of cancer progression and discovering new therapeutic antibodies or kinase inhibitors.
Cancer metastasis is responsible for over 90% of cancer deaths, yet its mechanisms remain unclear, and current treatments for metastatic tumors are limited. Dr. Li’s lab explores new regulatory factors involved in cancer metastasis, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and drug resistance through unique RNAi/cDNA screening, molecular and cellular biology, cancer genomics, epigenomics, tumor immune microenvironment analysis, transgenic mouse models, and patient samples.
Our research aims to gain a deeper understanding of cancer progression mechanisms, identify new drug targets, and develop more effective therapies, including novel kinase inhibitors and antibody-based treatments such as monoclonal antibodies (mAb), antibody-drug conjugates (ADC), bi-specific antibodies, and CAR-T cell therapies.
For more information about our research projects and publications, please visit: Wenliang Li, PhD.
