Scholarship Description:
The University of Florida (UF) is a comprehensive research university, ranked in the top five of public universities in the United States. The city of Gainsville, where it is located, has a pleasant year-round climate, a beautiful environment, a low cost of living, and a very broad community of Chinese students and scholars. The university is close to many tourist destinations such as Orlando Miami Tampa Bay, making it convenient for single day or weekend visits.
The laboratory’s research is interdisciplinary and biophysical, focusing on novel cancer mechanisms arising from protein phase separation, and you are welcome to bring your own research projects and technical expertise. The results of the lab have been published in leading international journals such as Cell, Nature Communications, eLife, JACS, and PRL. The lab community wants to grow with you, and the goal of the postdoctoral training is to develop your strengths as a new generation of scientists and biotech entrepreneurs with critical thinking, creativity, and leadership skills. - Juan Guan’s group at the University of Florida is seeking a full-award postdoctoral fellow with a background in cell biology or biochemistry, such as mammalian cell culture or protein blotting (Western Blot).
