Scholarship Description:
The University of Southern Mississippi’s Boran Ma group in the College of Polymer Science and Engineering invites students, postdocs, and visiting scholars with backgrounds in polymer and materials science to join the group. The group’s research focuses on the fundamental and applied research of polymeric material systems by Molecular Dynamics, Finite Element Analysis (MDSA), including the design and development of sustainable energy materials, environmental remediation, and drug delivery for disease treatment. drug delivery), etc.

Dr. Boran Ma will join the College of Polymer Science and Engineering at the University of Southern Mississippi as an assistant professor in January 2023. he received his bachelor’s degree in materials science and engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2014. he graduated from Northwestern University in 2019 with a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering under the supervision of Monica Olvera de la Cruz (AAAS). he will be at Duke University from January 2020 to December 2022. From January 2020 to December 2022, he will be a postdoctoral fellow in Cate Brinson’s (AAAS fellow) group at Duke University. His research has been published in ACS Nano, Nano Letters, Science Advances, Macromolecules and other journals.
