Scholarship Description:
The Gao lab is focused on uncovering novel molecular mechanism for the pathogenesis of cardiac diseases, including cardiac hypertrophy, remodeling and dysfunction. The lab utilizes state-of-the-art molecular, genomic and genetic tools to discover and interrogate key molecules involved in the understudied post-transcriptional processes in RNA metabolism in cardiac tissues under physiological and pathological states. We are recruiting a post doc fellow who can assist the Principal Investigator in understanding the functional impact of RNA binding protein in the development of cardiometabolic disorder. The incumbent will conduct research and/or analyze research data and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of the University of Cincinnati.
