Scholarship Description:

Multiple PhD positions with fully financial support are available in 2021 Fall/2022 Spring/2022 Fall in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Utah. The admitted PhD students are expected to work with Dr. Jianli Chen in the smart building and infrastructure management, including but not limited to building energy and airflow modeling, smart building control with optimization, renewable energy integration, artificial intelligence, sensing, occupant modeling and comfort, and advanced infrastructure management. The research will be interdisciplinary by nature. 

Available Subjects:

Architectural Engineering and Building Science, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electric Engineering 

Eligibility criteria:

Students with backgrounds of Architectural Engineering and Building Science, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electric Engineering are all welcome to apply.
