Scholarship Description:

Dr Qianwen Guo has a broad research interest in transport optimisation problems, especially in public transport, intelligent shared mobility, and infrastructure investment decisions. She has published several articles in top transportation journals such as Transportation Research Part A, B, and C. She is currently leading several NSF and USDOT projects as PI, including the development of virtual reality labs for engineering education, resilience of bridge and road infrastructure networks, and strategies for public transportation planning and operations.

Eligibility criteria:

  • (1) A commitment to exploring and pioneering new areas;
  • (2) Strong research interest in optimisation methods (e.g. linear programming, integer programming, non-linear programming, probabilistic optimisation, equilibrium models);
  • (3) Strong programming experience in C/C++, Java, Python, or other languages.
