Scholarship Description:
Dr.Sen Liu is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University and SLAC National Laboratory, and previously received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, where he was awarded the Best PhD Dissertation Award and the Rath Research Award (established by Dr. Bhakta Rath, a member of the American Academy of Engineering), and has published more than 20 papers, including top papers in Additive Manufacturing, Applied Materials Today, Materials Characterisation, Journal of Manufacturing Processes, etc. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Eligibility criteria:
- The Dr.Sen Liu team in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is recruiting for 2 fully funded PhD positions and several full/half award MS positions for Spring and Fall 2024. We are looking for students with Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in areas such as Engineering, Materials, Electrical and Computer Science. TOEFL ≥ 79 or IELTS ≥ 6.5 or PTE ≥ 53 are required for international students; the GRE is not required.
