Scholarship Description:

Wang Bing is an Assistant Professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s School of Engineering and Deputy Director of the Autonomous Systems Research Center. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Oxford University, is a Huawei Five-Star Genius, and has been recognized as a national-level young talent. He studied under Professor Li Qingquan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Professor Niki Trigoni, a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. His research focuses on 3D vision and multimodal learning. He serves as a reviewer for CVPR, ICLR, TPAMI, and Information Fusion, and is an associate editor for Visual Intelligence.

 Available Subjects:

  • PhD Positions: Multiple openings with a monthly salary of HKD 18,000. Outstanding students may be recommended to apply for the Hong Kong Government’s HKPFS, with salaries reaching HKD 26,000 per month.
  • Postdoctoral Positions: Multiple openings starting at HKD 30,000 per month. Exceptional PhD candidates may be recommended for the Hong Kong Government’s RGC/ITC postdoctoral grants, with salaries up to HKD 45,000 per month.
  • Research Assistant Positions: Multiple openings with a monthly salary of HKD 16,000.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Strong research interest, proactive, and meticulous in research.
  • Solid foundation in mathematics and strong programming skills.
  • Top 10 ranking in academic performance or high-level research achievements.
  • Proficiency in English and other requirements met.
