Scholarship:  Full benefits
Degree: PhD
Nationality: International Students
Location: USA
Application deadlines:  Open

Scholarship Description:

The research group specializes in developing single-molecule and superresolution bioanalytical techniques to seek insights from signaling, trafficking, and molecular interactions in immunity (Nano Letters, 2022, PMID: 35499493; ACS Nano, 2021, PMID: 34797055; Scientific Reports, 2021, PMID: 34326382; PNAS, 2016, PMID: 27303041; Nature Methods, 2013, PMID: 23361087). The ideal candidate for Position 1 will have prior experience in molecular cloning, lentiviral transduction, and/or T cell biology. The ideal candidate for Position 2 will have prior experience in single-molecule or superresolution imaging. The successful candidates will lead the NIH-funded research effort in leveraging superresolution imaging techniques to enhance the fundamental understanding of cytokine release in T cells at the molecular level. Salary is commensurate with experience. The University of Illinois offers competitive benefits, including health care options, wellness programs, educational opportunities, and other benefits. Chicago is the third largest city in the U.S. with access to top research institutes and medical schools. The UIC campus is in a vibrant and safe neighborhood with access to CTA trains, busses, and walking distances to downtown and more.
