Scholarship Description:

Dr Lu Wang is currently an Assistant Professor at UT Health San Antonio/Sam and Ann Barshop Institute for Longevity and Aging Studies/Department of Biochemistry and Structural Biology. He received his M.D. degree from Xiangya School of Medicine in 2010 and his Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Genomics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China (Dean’s Special Award) in 2015. He was a postdoctoral fellow at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the University of Pennsylvania from 2015 to 2023. His most recent representative articles have been published in Cell, Nature Cell Biology, Neuron, and Cell Reports.

Our group focuses on epigenetic changes in ageing and age-related diseases (including metabolic diseases and tumours) using a variety of in vitro and animal models to study chromatin 3D conformation, DNA and histone modifications.
