Scholarship Description:

Augusta University, founded in 1828, is a public university located in Augusta, Georgia’s second largest city, and one of the oldest schools in Georgia Asia. The School of Computer and Cyber Sciences is one of the fastest growing schools in the university and in the state of Georgia. The Georgia Cyber Center, where the school is located, is the largest investment in cybersecurity facilities by the state of Georgia to date, with over $100 million. The Academy has strong partnerships with neighboring research institutions such as the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence, the U.S. Army Cyber Command, National Security Agency (NSA) Georgia, and the nearby Savannah River National Laboratory. Sen He is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences at Augusta University. Sen He’s research interests include the areas of cloud computing, software engineering, and software testing. More specifically, his existing research is about using statistical tools to develop performance testing methodologies to obtain accurate performance results at reduced testing costs. He published papers in leading conferences including ESEC/FSE, ASE, MICRO, and ICST. He received distinguished paper awards in the flagship conference ESEC/FSE.

Available Subjects:

  • Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mathematics, or related fields

Eligibility criteria:

  • A minimum TOEFL score of 213 (computer-based), or 79 (internet-based) OR a minimum IELTS score of 6.5.
  • Strong background/motivation in computer science/ Statistics.
  • Good programming skills in Java, Python, or Go.
