Scholarship Description:
Funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) of the Hong Kong Government, the Chinese Medicines Innovation and Research Centre Limited (the Centre) was established in September 2020 to accelerate the development of herbal-based botanical medicines and serve as a strategic platform to foster collaboration between local and international researchers, institutions and industry.
The Centre aims to achieve this by improving the quality of preclinical and clinical herbal research, and translating the results into medicines for the international market. With a focus on gastrointestinal and immune related diseases, the Centre will address the unmet needs of the current international market for disease treatment and combine the distinctive strengths of Chinese medicine to target the global market and develop innovative medicines in areas such as gastrointestinal and immune with traditional wisdom.

Available Subjects:
- The incumbent will be involved in clinical research in Chinese medicine. S/he will be responsible for conducting clinical trials and data analysis, as well as writing and assisting in the writing of academic articles and papers, and other duties as assigned.
Eligibility criteria:
- Applicants should have a medical doctorate, basic written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese, and the ability to work independently and in a team. A good publication record and experience in TCM research would be an added advantage.
