Scholarship Description:

Established in 1981, the Department of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong has developed into a research-intensive disciplinary department after 40 years of development. Research includes epidemiological surveys, prospective cohort observational studies, and interventional studies involving cutting-edge research techniques such as genetics, molecular biology, neuropsycho-cognition, neuromodulation, neuroimaging, and digital mental health. The research team includes Prof. Runguo Rong, Prof. Cuihua Lin, Prof. Weiguang Deng, Prof. Xiuwen Chen, Associate Prof. Yongxin Chen, Associate Prof. Dunping Mak, Assistant Prof. Tingjun Li, Assistant Prof. Weihao Zhou, Assistant Prof. Shuling Ma, Assistant Prof. Yaping Liu, Research Assistant Prof. Hanna Lu, Research Assistant Prof. Yinyan Chen, Research Assistant Prof. Wenhao Li. The research results have been published in Annals of Internal Medicine, Nature Method, European Heart Journal Annals of Neurology, Neurology, Pediatrics, SLEEP and other academic journals.

Eligibility criteria:

Recent graduates with a master’s degree or about to receive a master’s degree (relevant background in the Department of Psychiatry, Department of Psychology, Department of Public Health, etc.); outstanding recent undergraduate graduates will be considered.
