Scholarship Description:

Two Post-doctoral positions available to study oral bacterium Fusobacterium nucleatum. Two NIH-funded Post-doctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Chenggang Wu in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas.  The Wu lab has a strong interest in the mechanism underlying Fusobacterium-mediated coaggregation with oral microbiota within dental plaque and the interplay between fusobacterial nutrition and its pathogenesis in oral disease and colon cancer.

Eligibility criteria:

Qualification: 

Interested applicants should have earned (or be close to earning) a Ph.D and have a strong background in molecular biology and/or microbiology.
