Scholarship Description:

We are looking for one self-motivated PhD student dedicated to the cutting-edge research in catalyst materials and electrochemical reaction engineering. The lab focuses on study and development of advanced materials useful as catalysts for energy-related processes, including fuel cell reactions, water electrolysis, and hydrogen storage. The candidate will be trained based on his/her own research interests and multi-disciplinarily in electrochemical reaction engineering, materials chemistry, and catalysis science.

The University of South Carolina is a public, R1 research university in Columbia, South Carolina, United States. It is the flagship of the University of South Carolina System and has a strong PhD program in Chemical Engineering. Eligibility criteria:

  • Strong interests and high motivation in catalysis and electrochemical reaction engineering research
  • Good GPA
  • Qualified score on an English proficiency test: TOEFL (≥80), or IELTS (≥6.5), or PTE (≥53)
