Scholarship Description:

We wanted to bring to your attention an exciting opportunity for postdoctoral researchers interested in RNA or cancer research. The Xuhang Liu Laboratory at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in the United States is currently seeking talented individuals to join their team.

The laboratory uses a multi-disciplinary approach, combining traditional biochemical techniques with cutting-edge multi-omics and bioinformatics methods to study the post-transcriptional regulation mechanisms that play a key role in cancer development and progression. Their focus is particularly on the regulation of small RNAs and RNA binding proteins.

The ultimate goal of their research is to identify new drug targets and to translate their findings into clinical applications through the development of novel therapies, particularly RNA therapeutics.

 Available Subjects:

  • Gene regulation, RNA research, cancer biology, systems biology or bioinformatics.

Eligibility criteria:

  • We are currently looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a research scientist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gene regulation, RNA, and cancer, as well as a record of independent research ability. A published paper or preprint in the field would be a significant advantage.
  • In addition to a strong academic background, we are looking for someone with excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese, as well as a great team spirit. Applicants with experience in biochemical experiments, high-throughput sequencing experiments, tumour animal experiments and bioinformatics analysis would be particularly well-suited for this role.

Application Procedure:

This job offer is valid on a permanent basis. Interested parties should send the following information to PI email ([email protected]).

  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Cover letter (covering past academic achievements, research interests and career development goals)
  • Contact details of 2-3 referees
