Scholarship Description:
Asst. Prof. Tan Yu Jun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore. His main research areas include self-healing materials, stretchable electronics, biodegradable materials, soft robotics and 3D printing. To date, Dr Tan has published over 25 SCI papers (citation > 2200, h-index: 20), including lead authorship in Nature Materials, Nature Electronics, Nature Communications, Science Robotics, He has been published as the lead author in Nature Materials, Nature Electronics, Nature Communications, Science Robotics, Advanced Materials and other internationally renowned journals, and has been granted 5 invention patents. He has been selected as a research highlight by scientific media such as Nature Materials, Nature Electronics, CNET, Reuters, Phys.org, etc. In 2021, he was awarded the MIT Technology Review Asia Pacific “35 Under 35 Technology Innovators” (TR35). “(TR35), the 2021 MRS Postdoctoral Award, and the Best Paper Award and Best Poster Award at prestigious international conferences.

Eligibility criteria:
- Graduates from renowned universities at home and abroad with a B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D. in electronics, electrical engineering or other related disciplines.
- experience in research related to flexible electronic skin, wearable pressure sensors, soft body mechanics is preferred.
- have good reading, writing, listening and speaking skills in English.
- have a strong interest in scientific research and a sense of innovation, a good team spirit, a rigorous and serious approach to scientific research, and the ability to carry out relevant research work independently.
