Our lab focuses on the interface between endothelial cell metabolism and vascular biology. And we have an excellent track record in this field (Circulation Research, 2010; Circulation, 2012; Nature, 2017; J. Biol. Chem., 2021). The successful candidates will work on research projects that study the crosstalk between metabolic programs and angiogenic signaling and the involvement of cellular metabolism in the pathogenesis of vascular diseases. Multidisciplinary strategies will be used, ranging from novel genetically modified mouse models to cutting-edge systems biology tools including metabolomics and single-cell transcriptome analysis.
OMRF is an independent, nonprofit biomedical research institute. The innovative basic and translational research at OMRF covers several critical areas such as cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disease, and cancer. Cell biology, biochemistry, developmental biology, or mouse genetics with scientific publications
Applicants should have a Ph.D. (or expect to receive a doctoral degree soon), possess excellent experimental and communication skills, and demonstrate solid training in cell biology, biochemistry, developmental biology, or mouse genetics with scientific publications. Previous research experience in metabolism is a plus but is not required.
