Scholarship Description:
The project, funded by NIH BRAIN Initiative, will be carried out under Prof. Zhang’s supervision to develop, optimize, benchmark and validate multimodal neural probes for neuromodulation and neurochemical monitoring in behaving animals. The research focus in Prof. Zhang’s group is in the emerging area of neurotechnology and biosensors. More details about Dr. Zhang’s research can be found at https://zhangyigroup.com/.

Eligibility criteria:
- Implantable neurotechnology and/or devices.
- In vivo neural engineering studies (surgical implantation of brain and/or peripheral nerves, histological analysis, and basic rodent behavior studies).
