Scholarship Description:

The SEIT at University of New South Wales (UNSW) Canberra in Australia is an innovative community of students, educators, and researchers committed to building a healthier, more sustainable future. From cybersecurity and software engineering to sustainable infrastructure and space technologies, the mission is to foster the next generation of technology decision-makers. Dr. Jing Rao is a Lecturer in SEIT at UNSW Canberra (https://research.unsw.edu.au/people/dr- jing-rao-0), specialized in non-destructive evaluation. Before coming to UNSW, she was a Humboldt research fellowship holder in the Chair of Computational Modeling and Simulation at Technical university of Munich in Germany. After completing her PhD at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, she was a postdoc in her PhD group.

Available Subjects:

Ultrasonic non-destructive testing and structural health monitoring.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Background in solid mechanics and some programming skills
  • Good communication skills in English
