Scholarship Description:

Wang Lu’s group at Northwestern University focuses on the development of epigenetic and epigenetic complexes and small molecule drugs using genome-wide CRISPR screening, gene editing, cell engineering and other in vitro and in vivo mouse models. The group currently has two postdoctoral fellows funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Department of Defense (DOD), and the American Cancer Society (ACS). Their research interests include the transcriptional regulation of epigenetic molecules in cancer development and small molecule drug screening. The postdocs will receive the standard NIH salary (>$4,707/month).

  • Transcriptional regulation of epigenetic molecules in carcinogenesis and screening small molecule drugs.

Eligibility criteria:

Specific requirements for the position are

  • A PhD in a relevant discipline or field (biology, cancer biology, epigenetics) has been obtained or is expected to be obtained within this year.
  • Good writing and communication skills in English.
  • Good research interests and ability to conduct independent research, with one or more first author publications.
