Scholarship Description:
George Mason University is a public research university located in Fairfax, Virginia, USA. It is a R1 research university and the largest in the state. It is 32 km from Washington, DC, in a prime location with beautiful scenery and a pleasant climate.
The focus of the Pei Dong group is on the design and synthesis of new materials (nanomaterials and polymers) for applications in energy, water treatment, and biomedicine. The group invites applications from interested candidates for two full scholarship PhD students.
Available Subjects:
- Materials/environmental engineering/mechanical/chemical/chemical/polymer/physical/electronic/biological engineering.
Eligibility criteria:
- Strong hands-on experimental skills, strong initiative and a strong interest in research.
- Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English, with a TOEFL iBT score above 80 or IELTS idiom above 6.5.
